Your challenge

Improve dynamics

Moving mass must be accelerated, stopped and positioned. High inertia or long settling times can limit achievable cycle times.

Why it matters

Faster, controlled motion can increase throughput. Lower moving mass can also reduce drive loads and energy demand over a working cycle.

Where composites can help

Lightweight, stiff composite structures can reduce inertia and improve motion behaviour. The benefit depends on their interaction with drives, controls and the process.

A lighter structure shortens cycle time only when movement or settling time is the limiting factor. Other process steps may still determine throughput.

What could this mean for your challenge?

Briefly describe what needs to improve. CoDe explores with you whether composites could be relevant. Specific solution paths and partners are then assessed through CoDe Matching. You evaluate and decide.
