Your challenge
Increase stiffness
Components can deform too much under load even when they are strong enough. This can affect positioning, clearances or process consistency.
Why it matters
Controlled deformation supports precise operation and consistent product quality. In some equipment, it enables longer spans or larger working areas.
Where composites can help
Fibres can provide stiffness in the directions that carry load. Combined with suitable geometry, they can limit deformation without a proportionate increase in weight.
Attachments, load directions and operating conditions affect the result. High stiffness in one direction does not automatically mean high stiffness in every direction.
